Lucy Elizabeth Counselling

Worried about starting therapy?

Taking the first step towards support isn’t always easy. My priority is to help it feel manageable by offering a calm and understanding space where you can be yourself.

You don’t need to have the right words. I’ll meet you where you are, and we can go from there.

About Me

I’m Lucy, a BACP-registered Counsellor and Psychotherapist, based in Harrogate and Manchester. I work with adults and I am passionate about providing mental health support that brings meaningful, lasting change in people’s lives.

My experience includes:

  • working within the NHS on a counselling placement
  • Supporting people affected by cancer in the charity sector
  • Working as a Mental Health Practitioner with individuals experiencing unemployment and social challenges.

I have experience working with anxiety, bereavement, depression, difficult family dynamics, unemployment, stress and overwhelm, chronic illness, panic attacks, and more.

I bring light, warmth, and real-life honesty to this work, because therapy doesn’t have to be heavy all the time. Sometimes we cry. Sometimes we laugh. Often, we do both.

Services

 1-1 counselling sessions:

I work mainly from a humanistic perspective, which means I am here to walk alongside you to guide and support you in exploring issues you may be facing. I also have training in CBT and lead mindfulness and wellbeing workshops. Within the counselling sessions we aim to get to the core of what is bothering you, but I am also able to offer techniques to cope and support yourself whilst we figure it out.

We all have the capacity to grow and make meaningful changes in our lives. With empathy and authenticity, I’m here to help you find your way.

Fees and availability:

Counselling sessions are 50 minutes in duration and session fees are charged from £55. I offer a concessional rate for students. Payments can be made in advance by bank transfer.

To ensure we’re a good fit for each other, I invite you to a complimentary 20-minute introductory call where we can explore what you’re looking for from therapy.

I am currently only offering online sessions, please get in touch to discuss availability
